Why is rammus underplayed

May 4th, Gragas, you don't see any and yet he's awesome. Dec 12th, Notable 1. TheJohn posted Cassiopeia, I bump that. I rarely see a bad Cassiopeia. I'd have to say Soraka is a very underplayed support champion in regular queue. In ranked you see her more often, but she's also a Tier 1 champion, so everyone really has an easy opportunity to buy her compared to other support champs. Teemo is fun if you know how to place your mushrooms and you have enough patience to get nice kills.

If you find his type of gameplay engaging though, support Fiddlesticks will get you a lot of the same thing done with his a 3 second fear and is generally accepted to be viable for supporting. Jungle-wise, most teams that choose to deal with a weak early game jungler will often side with the generally stronger Amumu pick over rammus for the improved teamfight capability, whereas Hecarim and even Shaco are used often in solo queue and share the same early bypassing of wards that Rammus has.

The nerfs he got like a year ago had killed his jungle because people played Rammus for his level 2 ganks. Now, with the advent of Season 3 he faces different problems.

First, nobody gets to start with cloth armor anymore, they have to start machete in almost all cases. This gimps his damage output a little bit since he doesn't really feel like an exception. Another reason is that Armor Penetration is out of control and as a result tanks build health and not armor.

Rammus's niche is stacking armor but there's really no place for that now, sadly. He's still a really good ganker and a somewhat weaker nusciance in teamfights however.

I don't get why malphite is so strong then because he also scales with armor Is it really JUST the ultimate? The ult is strong but it just adds to the sum that is Malphite. Before everyone played him and Atma's was still considered viable I used to play him as an anti-carry. He has crazy sticking power and gets a good amount of ad as well.

I prefer ghost over flash because movement is amazing on Rammus. User Info: Doulou. I think Rammus is fine for solo que. His jungle is slow, his taunt is rather tame until max'd, and qss on an ad carry will destroy your primary objective. Rammus is just a one trick pony that's fairly easily countered by common sense, which is why he is underplayed and you won't ever see him at high tourny level.

BUT saying that I think he is a bit TOO underrated, despite what I'm saying about his easily countered kit, he still wrecks havoc on anyone out of position.

If you expose yourself for one second your flashed taunted and dead. User Info: Trevorkkho. Doulou posted Why is Rammus so under played? Split King Guide: Rammus Platinum Mobafire Network. Rammus, Hec, and Naut are my three favorites atm. Pure ganking power can snowball a game insanely hard, which is always fun.
